| FY 2007 Continuing Resolution | $81.88/ $100.00 | (closed) |
On December 11, 2006, the chairmen of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees announced that they expect Congress to pass a year-long continuing resolution for FY 2007, covering all agencies except the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and certain Intelligence agencies. Under its terms the agencies would be generally limited to the same spending amounts and conditions they had in FY 2006, although there would probably be a few adjustments.
The outcome will be judged as true if any federal agencies are still subject to a Continuing Resolution on March 15, 2007.
Background: see the 11 December announcement and the wikipedia definition of continuing resolution. If Congress does not pass a continuing resolution, it must pass appropriations bills for the agencies.
