The current Continuing Resolution (CR) funds the government through December 14th. If Congress sends the President an Omnibus Appropriations Act, he could sign it on December 15th and the CR would be gone.
Alternatively, there could be a CR for some agencies that would last the entire fiscal year. In that case, the correct answer is September 30, 2007. This has been the case for the last two years.
Finally, the President and Congress could get their acts together somewhere in between those two dates.
